Tom and Keri | 1 Hour | Neon Museum

Tom and Keri tied the knot and then met me for a quickie photo session at the Neon Museum in the Main Collection. This space houses all of the restored signs and lights up fantastically just before sunset. When you book a photo shoot at the Neon Museum, you have the option to choose between the galleries. If you shoot me a message, I’ll be thrilled to provide you with 3 million examples from each space to help you decide which one best fits your vision.

Tom looks dashing with that bouquet…

This pastel corner has my heart – forever and ever.

Tim and Rheanne | 2 Hours | El Dorado | Neon Museum

The cover photo literally says it all! Tim and Rheanne traveled all the way from Canada to tie the knot here in Vegas, opting to head out to remote El Dorado and then have their ceremony officiated at the Neon Museum. Two of their dearest friends were in attendance, making this elopement the perfect size for them. The entire afternoon was filled with laughter and Rheanne’s beautiful smile! I had a really hard time choosing images for this post, so please enjoy about 4 million photos to follow… Oh, and let’s not forget to mention – her crop top wedding dress. #goals

El Dorado is about 45 minutes from the Strip, and well worth the drive if it fits into your timeline. I highly recommend either renting a car or hiring a car service. This is not somewhere you want to catch an Uber to (mostly because they probably won’t come back and pick you up – haha). It’s also super hot in the summertime, but if you promise to hydrate, I promise to let you cool off between shots. ♥

I’m not quite sure what she’s laughing at, but it’s probably Tim…

After a few more butt grabs, they headed to the Neon Museum for their ceremony. We ALLLLLLL know that this is my favorite spot, maybe in the whole wide world.

We did it!!

Now it’s your turn! I would be honored to help you design your perfect afternoon. I can help with location ideas, officiant recommendations, floral vendors – you name it. Eloping can be more complicated than you might think – so click below and tell me how I can un-complicate it for you guys! ♥

Sam and Lisa | Neon Museum

This session will go down in history as the session that almost didn’t happen. Almost. But that’s not exactly how I roll. The day that Lisa and Sam were married, they were supposed to meet one of my girls at the Neon Museum for a 30 minute quickie in the North Gallery, followed by a 30 minute downtown session. But the Ubers and cabs they hailed that afternoon had other ideas. We all know that even with the very best planning, things can happen that are beyond our control.

As their arrival time came and went, I called Lisa and she called me, and we texted frantically trying to get them from Planet Hollywood to the Museum on time. They left their hotel room an hour before session time to meet their first scheduled Uber, which never arrived. After two more tries with Uber they gave up and hailed a cab who then proceeded to drive them on the slowest possible route, straight up the Strip. After deciding that they would arrive well after the end time for their session, Lisa and Sam sadly turned back and headed to their hotel, with no session in sight.

She was in tears and I was heartbroken for her. However, we managed to work some crazy last minute magic and snag a midday session at the Museum the following day. Shout out to Courtney for helping us make it happen on such short notice!! After my morning wedding that day, I hustled on over to photograph them for all of 15 minutes in between appointments. But let me tell you, I could not possibly let them leave town without some beautiful images to commemorate their wedding trip!

Things happen. Life happens. And this was one of those times where so many things fell into place to allow me to make this happen for them, and it just thrills me to no end. I’m so glad I got the chance to meet you guys and make it work! Congrats again and we’ll see you back for an anniversary session someday soon! ❤️

Now it’s your turn! Hopefully you won’t have any travel mishaps, of course – but let’s create some beautiful images together! Click below to tell me all about your vision.

20 years – Vegas style

These two cuties traveled from Hong Kong to celebrate 20 years of marriage. They had a Queen-themed vow renewal at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel, complete with Freddie Mercury in a white tank top and four showgirls. Afterwards we traveled to the Neon Museum (which is basically my second home), and made our way through the main gallery – pretty much laughing the whole way. And that’s just one way to kick off the next 20 years.

So if your partner still slaps you playfully on the butt and then agrees to light up rings to celebrate 20 years, you’re probably doing something right. If you have a milestone coming up and you’d like to celebrate with a photo shoot – I’d be honored to help! Call me or click below! ❤️

The Gettos | 2 Hour Wedding | Downtown Elopement

I have a secret. Downtown Las Vegas has won my heart. Hands down. It is full of quirky murals and happy passersby. It’s easy to get to, super walkable and makes for some seriously classic images. Chris and Mary eloped from SoCal and officially tied the knot at A Little White Wedding Chapel – my favorite chapel for elopements, especially when you want to hit up the drive thru. The planning for their session was a whirlwind of trying to find the perfect car to rent, picking out the best backdrops for their post-ceremony session and squeezing in a last minute booking at the Neon Museum. I am always happy to walk my clients through the process and help them get everything booked in so the day goes off without a hitch!

Driving up to make it officially official!

A real, live bouquet toss. Don’t worry, the bouquet was not harmed in the making of this series.

He nailed this jump. On. The. First. Try.

Now it’s your turn! Let’s plan your big day – whether it’s downtown or not – and let’s make it perfect! I’d be honored to photograph your ceremony and then celebrate with even more fun images that you’ll treasure forever! Call me. ♥

The Coopers | Little White Chapel | 2 Hour Wedding

A favorite combination of mine for small elopements is the Little White Chapel combined with pretty much anything downtown. It’s a great way to have a fun and intimate ceremony, while still getting artistic shots for your wall. Enjoy! ♥

Now it’s your turn – whether you want to get married at a chapel or elsewhere – let’s create some amazing images!

neon museum wedding reviews

Perhaps you’ve noticed that I love to shoot weddings at the Neon Museum!? And you’ve decided that you simply must tie the knot amongst all of the classic Vegas history. I have several tips for you to make things run really smoothly and get great images that really capture the charm of the iconic space. Read on for some ideas to make your wedding at the Neon Museum everything you’ve been hoping for.

1- Choose your date!

This one seems like a no brainer, but the Neon Museum actually books up quite quickly, especially during peak seasons when it’s not too hot (or too cold) to tie the knot outside! I’ve even had couples change their dates to accommodate the availability of the museum. Reach out directly to the museum at events@neonmuseum.org to verify that your date is available, and which galleries and times they have open. This information will be necessary to make most of the other decisions that follow. You can also click here to see more info about their wedding packages.

2 – Decide which gallery you want to be photographed in

The Neon Museum has two different areas that can be booked for weddings and events. The North Gallery is the gallery that is most often booked for weddings where the ceremony is occurring on site at the museum. This gallery can be booked for half an hour or more, and is perfect for smaller events and elopements. There is no electricity in this gallery and it photographs best during the day (1 or 2 hours before sunset). The Main Collection is the larger of the two areas and contains the signs that have been restored and are working (lit). This Collection can only be booked for larger events that rent the space for longer periods of time. However, the Main Collection can also be booked separately for just a photo shoot if you would like to be photographed there, but choose to marry elsewhere. Lots of clients book this gallery for one hour before or after their chapel wedding, or they add an hour on here after a brief ceremony in the North Gallery. This Collection photographs beautifully almost any time of day, or night. Please contact me for specific examples of weddings from both galleries if you need help making your decision!

3- Check with your photographer to see what the best time of day is for your gallery choice

Speaking of times of day! I can definitely help you decide which time slot works best for your session. I’ve spent considerable time in both areas and can make a recommendation for you once I know what type of images you are hoping for (light and airy, or dark and edgy). Each gallery has a different look and feel, and every client is looking for something unique. Let’s chat and decide what works best for your vision!

4- If you are having your ceremony at the museum, decide if you want a classic ceremony, an Elvis theme or even a mobster theme

This one is fun. Lots of my clients opt for a more traditional elopement-style ceremony with brief words from the officiant, an exchange of vows and rings and then being pronounced. However, if you have a crazy Vegas wedding in mind, complete with Elvis and accompanying songs, we can help with that, too. The museum can point you towards the officiants they use and put you in contact with them to discuss your options.

5 – Book it!

You now know where you’ll get married, what time you’ll be tying the knot and who will be marrying you, so it’s time to make it official! Book the museum. Book the officiant (who can assist you with all of the details you need to obtain your license and make it legal), and book your photographer! Then get ready to create images that you will be proud to hang on your walls for years after the big day.
